Wind performance & batten spacing
| AS 4055 wind classification | Max. batten spacing | Serviceability (SLS) | Strength (ULS) |
|---|---|---|---|
| N1w, N2w, N3w | 500 mm | +0.82 / −1.23 kPa | ±3.3 kPa |
| N4w | 450 mm | ±3.7 kPa |
AS 4055 applies to houses up to 6.0 m to underside of eaves, 8.5 m to roof top, 16 m wide and roof pitch ≤ 35°. Other buildings are designed to AS/NZS 1170.2. Non-cyclonic regions only.
